Taking Science to Parliament:
The 2003 Great British Research and R&D Show at the
House of Commons, Westminster, London
Under “SET
for BRITAIN” (Science, Engineering and Technology),
a special annual Parliamentary Presentation for Britain’s
Younger Scientists and Engineers was held on Monday,
17 March 2003 at the
House of Commons, Westminster, London. I and my boss Robin
Tillett were selected and had the enviable opportunity
to present
our work
in the Terrace Pavilion Room,
the House of Commons, where we were joined by other top
younger research scientists and about 40 M.P.s to discuss
current
research
and R&D
work underway in the UK. The focus of my presentation are
(1). “Three-dimensional
Imaging of Pigs”; (2). "Three-dimensionalSurface
Texture Classification".
